Sipalay City: One of Negros Best Tourist’s Destination

During the fiesta celebration, Sipalay City is showcasing its art and culture through merry making. 17 Barangays of the city are participating in this event, thus making the celebration more lively and enchanting. Every year, local and foreign visitors are attracted to this event because several activities are being prepared for this celebration. As the month of March is approaching, local government of Sipalay is setting up a live band concerts at the beach every week, preparation for the big celebration on the 31st. Nothing compares with Sipalay when it comes to partying at the beach every third month of the year. Two nights of beach party every weekend, enjoy with your favorite drink, having fun with the music played by local artists and take pleasure in the cool breeze of the sea, these are some things that are happening in Sipalay every MARCH.
Since the month of March is the start of summer time, beach resorts, pension houses and hotel like Sipalay Suites are all set to cater to abundant tourist arrivals in the city. Given that Sipalay Suites is located in the heart of the city, they are the most likely to be fully booked during this days, so better have your reservations as early as possible.
During the fiesta celebration water sports activities are very much enjoyed, examples of it are Boat (banca) racing, swimming competition, jet skiing, beach volley to name a few.
Sipalay City is blessed with the wealth of nature, from its white sand beaches, copper and gold reserves, caves and even waterfalls; Sipalay is a complete package for family getaway and even barkadas adventure.
The first time i’ve been to sipalay city was 1998 and for 3 successive years I visited the city tourist spots, beaches and resorts. It’s always an eperience to remember. I’ve gone swimming, island hoping with local fishermen, hiking, caving on the mountains and scuba diving in many Sipalay City dive sites.
But one my unforgetable experience was this years Pasaway Festival 2008, I have my camera with me and i can’t stop myself pointing and clicking to people and contestants durings the street dancing competition.
People on the streets including tourist are dancing on the streets while the hert pumping music plays. I hope I can still visit Sipalay City next year to celebrate with the Pasaway Festival 2009.
