Dental Health Program Launched in Negros Oriental

The DOH-DO MACIAS of Dental Oral Hygiene-Denture Okay, Monitored Anti Cavity Intervention Access System was successfully launched in Negros Oriental, recently.

The program is a joint effort of the provincial government led by Gov. Matias and the Department of Education-Oriental Division and with the help of a German Agency for Technical Cooperation.

One of the main objectives of this program is to educate and help the public school children from the lack of proper dental care,common worm-infestation and tooth decays which is usually the major of  slow learning ability of the students.

The students will receive regular supplies of toothbrush, toothpaste and soap from the program. In addition regular deworming schedule will be also facilitated by the program.

The dental program was launched in 35 schools under the Negros Oriental Division, the latest of which was at Apo Elementary School in Apo Island, Dauin town.
