Bacolod Association of Guides to Help Promote Bacolod City Tourism
Sep 8th, 2008 | By b2ng | Category: News and HeadlinesA Tourism Seminar was recently held in Bacolod City for the city government employee of Bacolod to help promote the uprising and growing tourism industry of the city. After the members and participants completed the three-day tour guide seminar, The Bacolod Association of Guides was established under the project of Bacolod City Officer Imogene Kana-an, aimed to provide professional tour guiding in the city which is composed of government employees and other professionals.
The officers elected were Bernadette Manahan - president; Milton Dionzon vice president; Ritchel Villanueva - secretary; Lalaine Villalva - treasurer; Christine Dinglasan and George De La Cruz - PIO; Cherry De Los Reyes - auditor; Karlin Marie Manahan - muse; Liaison Officers are Dr. Genio Alojado for External Affairs, and George De La Cruz for Internal Affairs; and Kana-an is the consultant.
The creation of BAG will help the city administration promote tourism as the industry itself has been soaring high in the entire province.
The participants who were from the city mayor’s office, social services, city administration, public services, population commission, city tourism office, among others were the following: Benybeth Agbones, Ma. Rosario Bendanillo, Jurica Ethel Lagarde, Elaida Alojado, Ritchel Villanueva, Glorietta Rosejos, Cherry De Los Reyes, Erry Lagtapon, Merlinda Pedrosa, Gilnena Flor Lozada, Karen Hubchand, Sarah Gamboa, Aileen Turbanos, Selah Biñas, Maylin Relles, Cristi Flor Abao, Vera Morales, Jane Therese Alvarez, Ramon Dinglasan, Sharon Joy Segundino, Daisy Retardo, Betty Pabulayan, Ed Flores, Oliver Alindog, Robert Deopita, Henry Rizate, Ana Maris Dela Serna and Marla Lovelyn Varga.
