Negros Oriental to Mark Tourism Month

The observance of the World Tourism Month in Negros Oriental will start today and will run until Saturday, to be led by universities and colleges in Dumaguete City.

Institutions with tourism and related courses were given priority to showcase and promote their curricula, senior tourism operations Officer Myla Mae Abellana said yesterday.

To mark the celebration with day-to-night activities at the Sidlakang Negros Village are Silliman University, St. Paul University-Dumaguete, Foundation University, Negros Oriental State University, Colegio de Santa Catalina de Alejandria and Asian College of Science and Technology.

Hospitability skills demonstration, food presentation and table settings, seminar-workshops, musical and cultural performances, games and contest and free health and wellness clinics are just some of the events that can be witness during the celebration.
