TESDA, Negros Oriental Offering Free Courses b2ng October 23, 2008 News and Headlines The Technological Education Skills and Development Authority (TESDA) in Negros Oriental are offering three free vocational courses at the Japanese Filipino Children Global Associates of Performing Arts at the West Bantayan, Dumaguete City. According to the founder and president of JFCGA Ana Margarita Kinoshita, these courses are household services, performing arts, and learning Nipongo, the Japanese language, and it is only it Negros Oriental that JFCGA is offering these three courses for free, she added. The household services course requires 216 hours of training, and the Performing Arts, 271 hours. Those who will be trained in the household services may work in any hotels and restaurants abroad. Performing arts students may become stage or theater performers and folk and dance instructors while displaced Overseas Filipino Workers may learn how the Japanese language for 150 hours of training. Those who pass the language training may become duty port interpreters, tourist guides, or Nihongo tutors. For those who are interested and want to apply on the said courses offered by the TESDA, applicants is required to get a recommendation from their respective congressman.
