In connection on the celebration of their Golden Jubilee St. John’s Institute will launch its book entitled “Going Beyond Gold” a compilation of write-ups from different key personalities in SJI. The event will be witness on November 28, 2008 at about 4 pm at the Sampaguita Hall of Sugarland Hotel, Bacolod City.

The book includes first three chapters briefly summarizes the lives, of SJI founders, Msgr. John Su and Msgr. John Liu, their escape from religious persecutions during the communist revolution in China, and the beginning of their evangelical mission in Bacolod, while the succeeding chapters discussed their escape from religious persecutions during the communist revolution in China, and the beginning of their evangelical mission in Bacolod.

Personal recollections of two alumni and the visions, ideals and principles of current school administrators complete the 10-chapter book edited by Abraham Florendo, a former newspaper and magazine editor.
