Municipality of Valencia
The town of Valencia was considered as one of the progressive town in the province of Negros Oriental, Philippines and rated as a 3rd class town of the region. It has a huge number of 24, 365 people in 4, 860 household living in the place recorded in the 2000 Census.
The municipality is located at 9.4 kilometers west of Dumaguete, it has an area of approximately 150 km², and 65 % is mountainous, with elevation ranging from 200 to 500 meters above sea level. Climate in the municipality is relatively cool, especially in areas of high elevation.

The town Valencia was also rich in historical sites like the; Fil-Am-Jap Amity Shrine, Spanish Fountain, Cata-al War Memorabilia and it is also famous for their beaches as their main tourist attractions. The beautiful spots of Banica Swimming Lagoon and Pulang Bato Falls are the best place for a vacation every summer and other gatherings.
