Municipality of Pamplona

The town was considered as one of the progressive town in the province of Negros Oriental, Philippines and rated as a 3rd class town of the region. It has a huge number of 32, 790 people in 6, 617 household living in the place recorded in the 2000 Census. It has a total land area of 21, 670 that planted with sugarcane and other agricultural products. The main source of income of people was farming and fishing. The municipality of Pamplona is accessible to all types of vehicle being connected by good roads, and it is 37.9 kilometers north from the capital city of Negros Oriental, the Dumaguete City.

The town is blessed with Palaypay Falls located at Barangay Abante, 12 kilometers away from Poblacion, Pamplona. It has clear, refreshing, cool, sulfuric water which will make everyone long to come back and enjoy more.

The Pamplona  Plantation Tourism State is one of the best place to visit for forign and local tourists for vacation. It  is leisure estate that extends into Tanjay; golf buffs’ paradise; verdant fairways, swimming pools, elegant amenities; a portion of the area set aside for upscale residence.

The municipality was divided into different political 17 barangays located 80 % of land is hilly and mountainous with an elevation ranging from 30-700 meters above sea level.
